QueerGam to Michelle Malkin: Just because this is the only world we have, queers count, too.

Anti-Prop. 8 mob: It’s over. You lost. Move on.
By Michelle Malkin • November 11, 2008 01:02 PM

"I think it’s time for Democrat leaders to counsel the anti-Prop. 8 mob to stop the protests and accept the will of the people of California. Tell them to leave the churches alone. Tell them to stop blocking traffic and impeding businesses and harassing elderly couples and targeting donors. It’s over. You lost. Move on. With almost 11 million ballots tallied, Prop. 8 had 52.3% of the vote, with 47.7% against. Although many ballots remain to be counted, the 500,000-vote spread is viewed as insurmountable".

Ambrose Aban:
I am appalled. Disgusted. Angered by your careless and heartless remark. You are disappointing us Michelle. You are wrong for queers. You (of all people) know what it is like getting your rights being stripped and taken away. Prop 8 is unfair and intolerant. And the fight must go on. We cannot just move on! Gay marriage is about basic decency and respect, Michelle. It is not about you or redefining traditional marriage. It is about honoring and cherishing love between two people in love. Give it to us, Michelle, since you have the voice to do so.

  1. How is Malkin disappointing you? Why would you expect her to say anything else?

  2. I am expecting someone as vocal as Michelle to give gay marriage a chance cos it is about basic decency and respect. Just because we only have one world, we queers count too! Prop 8 is unfair and intolerant. I am expecting Michelle to say that the fight must continue so that some day gay people can marry the ones they love...is it too much to ask?
