Track Palin, the oldest son of Sarah Palin will be leaving for Iraq next week. The dashing young soldier smiled at his mom and the crowd like a real gentleman.
Sarah Palin (below) kicked off the night by introducing her family members. She so proudly acknowledged her loved ones and introduced her son, Track, who is leaving for Iraq next week. Track (is he not the most gorgeous looking soldier?), stood up like a real gentleman and smiled. Sarah delivered a powerful, dramatic, macho speech. Not as we had expected but now we know: she is a class act and a powerhouse speaker.

On one hand, she is so tough. On another hand she is so maternal and actually a typical hockey mom who attends PTA meetings. At some point she is "a pit bull with a lipstick". She didn't run away from her own personal problem or the current issue involving her teenage daughter and her boyfriend. She embraced them graciously on stage in the spotlight. Yes, she did it. We didn't expect her to be so calm and collected. We didn't expect her to punch Obama in the face, blow by blow. Queers just have to love that speech and love that woman! Whether you think Sarah is right or wrong, a new star is born. History has certainly unfolded on this night in Minneapolis.

Man! That woman is a class act. She didn't back away from her own family's problems. She didn't change the subject. She faced it head on. It was a home run. She scored big time. She introduced her family and she welcomed a good fight. She has taken big projects as Governor. She is tough and she talked tough tonight. Yes, I thought she punched the Dems blow by blow effortlessly, smoothly and easily. She was an undiscovered star, no doubt...until tonight. Her speech is way better than Joe Biden's. She is no victim. She is a tough figther. I am not votng for them or Obama until they have said something I've been waiting to hear -- same sex marriage, etc. But let the game begins! She was smarter and she was more sarcastic! Good stuff...and she auctioned a luxury jet on ebay!

This is really her first major self introduction -- as a woman so powerful and so beautiful. A lot of people will relate to her story and believe her words. Everyone will be buzzing about her speech. I do not want to be near my female colleagues tomorrow. They will be talking about her all day at work! Trust me.

Mine, too. It was an incredible speech. We have to admit that if nothing else. She was talking to the voters. She was talking about small town values. Tonight's speech is strongly targeted at Democrats. It was meant for all to hear, to know her as a mother, a woman and a public servant. Her speech was definitely meant for the hall and those who are still undecided. From my living room in Portland, Oregon tonight, I can now see why Sarah is ready for the job. She certainly can and will take on the big old boys. Her story is a story that inspires America tonight.

It was a “how-dare-you-questioned-my-experience-and-my-family” speech. She balanced toughness and femininity very well I thought. That is why she is known as a "Baracuda". Tonight, she showed some compassion, intelligence and strength. A lot of people will be excited about this ticket now.

She was going for it. There was nothing stopping this sophisticated looking lady. Her target was to introduce herself but she did more than that, she seized the opportunity and slammed her opponents and her haters -- the reporters and commentators. She flexed her muscles and she threw satisfying punches at them -- blow by blow. Republicans tonight saw someone who is a hero, someone who can take a beating for weeks nonstop from the media and performed like a pro. She did better than Barack Obama. She has an excellent speech for Republican purposes. It was one designed to lure and attract voters. Well crafted. Well executed.
