Californians will get to enjoy the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympics 2008 at around 7.30pm tonight. It will be unlike others - it will be an hybrid of entertainment at its tallest order, perhaps the most memorable of all the ceremonies to date. About 80 world leaders including President Bush will be there to complete the world's biggest guest list. Sudanese-American athlete (a new American citizen) has been selected by the team USA to be the flagbearer. The event will leave our mouth hanging wide open. This is not a hype. The combination of the massive scope and precision within that scope, the intricate and delicate details, its hard not to say its not goingto be the best ever. Here is entirely possible that the Chinese will win the most golds...The significance of the ceremony -- 87 nations had never had won a medal and they will march into the olympic stadium. USA-CHINA will kick off the game, and same day our very own Dara Torres and Michael Phelps are expected to rule in the pool and kick off the excitment at The Water Cube tomorrow. But then again we have to remember that it is 8.8.8 for the Chinese athletes. That's triple good luck for China.
