Levi cums, "Bearbucks" stays in Castro

Here's a good news for bear chasers visiting or living in San Francisco. We heard, from the grapevine, that the Starbucks (better known as "Bearbucks" because bears and their chasers love it there) store located on 18th & Castro will stay while more than 160 stores will be closed by next year due to serious financial stress.

Meanwhile, Levi Strauss will open in Castro in September.
The Castro Courier recently reported that the legendary clothing retailer will be a welcome addition to the gayborhood, which has been, like many locations across the big US cities, struggling to keep storefront vacancies at a minimum while searching out retailers that complement the neighborhood and give back as well. Levi Strauss fits the bill, have financially supported the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, the Horizons Foundation, as well as the Frameline Film Festival, among other charitable groups. Queers think Levi (and of course "Bearbucks") will do good in the world's greatest gayborhood.
