Fucking Daphne: Truly and completely fucked me hard and deep.

Mostly True Stories And Fictions.
Ok, queers, you have to go get this book and read it.

About 19 writers came together, chapter by chapter, and imagined themselves not just having sex with her, meeting her, and leaning on her shoulders but also finding her in their bedrooms healing their souls with her tender sweet kisses and whispering healing words -- always by telling the truth and providing the right answers to all their questions. In the book, she is the subject of their imagination and lust. It is very interesting indeed to be the object of other people's affection and lust. And not a page, from the first to the last, that didn't find Daphne to be an unwilling collaborator. She is definitely in it -- being the person they want her to be. This is what I am talking about, queers. Read the fucking book.

Only Daphne Gottlieb could have conceived this one. This is certainly one of the best for me this year. I adore Gottlieb's collection of books. And this is one of her collections that's not only delicious, dangerous, effervescent, but edgy and intriguing all at the same time.

On the back cover:
"When Gottlieb first found herself the character in someone else's story she was flattered; over time, though, she started to wonder about the implications. Did it matter that she was depicted having sex in the bathrooms, vacant parking lots, on the balcony at a party in an old bordello? Did it matter whether or not it was true?"

This is the question at the heart of Fucking Daphne, a collection that blurs the lines between reality and fiction and begs the question - who, or which, is the real Daphne? Harnessing the playfulness of a hoax, the seductiveness of literature, and the avant-garde, Fucking Daphne will appeal to a culture intrigued by "reality" and hungry to know what may or may not be going on behind the scenes.

Fucking Daphne quite lovely, truly a great book not to be missed this summer. I enjoyed every moment of it.
