Queer investors, do you know where to look?

To me, I think the media is missing the biggest story of the 2008 Olympic Games. Maybe it's because if you are an investor and you always looking for the profit angle, but the "green" story is the one you should keep looking for. And with an important milestone for the "green" Olympics right around the corner, you are a little surprised we're not hearing more about it. On July 20, a host of rules take effect that China's government hopes will help make the 2008 Games more environmentally friendly. Factories will be closed or restricted, construction will be halted and cars will eventually be restricted in Beijing.

So far, the media is discussing these measures as examples of the government's heavy handed policies. As an investor, you see a much bigger story here -- one that could lead to some windfall profits.

Here's the thing: China's government is going to some extremes to deal with air pollution ahead of the Olympics. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. China's government has committed $314.5 billion to clean up its environment over the next 10 years. From an environmental standpoint, China simply can't go on like it has. The effects of pollution cost approximately 10% of its economic growth every year and is the source of thousands of instances of social unrest last year alone. I think China's newfound environmental awareness is an investment opportunity of epic proportion. The Olympic Village will house over 10,000 athletes. And much of the power and most of the hot water will come from solar energy. I've uncovered a small Chinese stock that makes solar-powered hot water heaters. I am expecting huge gains for this stock when the Olympics begin. Many of the Olympic venues, including the National Stadium, will feature solar panels on the roofs. And I've identified a Chinese solar company that should do very well as viewers come face to face with China's solar energy market. The media certainly has not hit on this investment theme. But it's only a matter of time. The longer this story sits, the more time more time you investors (gay or not) have to get positioned. By the time the opening ceremonies start on August 8th, these stocks will be moving. Now's your chance to get in ahead of the crowd.
