A couple in San Francisco, after 50 years of partnership, will at long last take legal wedding vows on MOnday, June 16 at 5.01pm on the dot San Francisco time. The veteran civil rights activists will be the first couple to take advantage of CA's new marriage rights, which will take effect for everyone else the next day. Mayor Gavin Newsom will preside over the special City Hall ceremony that will usher in a new era for America's same-sex couples.

Also, Golden Girls Return Live For Gay "Bride" Month. After a series of sold-out runs in 2007, The Golden Girls: The Play returns with two gay-themed episodes of the popualr sitcom just in time for SF Pride season. Starring Heklina, Cookie Dough, Matthew Martin, and Pollo Del Mar as television's favorite Miami retirees, this all-drag stage production runs June 12-28 at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory. Tickets: $20.
