You know how to do it...but where are the jobs?

Some of you PR queers have asked: Where are the companies that are hiring skilled and experienced executives, financially stable, making money, and most importantly are not in the red?

First: you have the skills -- your copy is easy to read (should be easy to read because you are a PR pro, no?), your media contacts should be excellent (because you are in the business of media relations, yes?), you have great writing samples (because you've been published -- your pitches, story ideas, press releases, etc) to share. And you certainly have learned to make your copy clearer and more concise. You are all that -- that's why you call yourself a PR specialist. Right? You certainly do not need to learn to edit by the numbers: How long should your paragraphs be? Your sentences? Your words? Because you are already an 'established" PR practitioner. You know the house rules because you've been taught many times before. You do not need to spend $150 or more (when you are unemployed) to find three ways to shorten your copy.

You are unemployed, ready and you have "ready-to-use" set of relevant skills.

Queergam's tips: I read the papers every single day and learn from them. You have to read the papers -- whether you are employed or not, especially when you are not. And see how they write their news and read about the latest news.
