It is hard to hear that! But many have heard that. I've heard that, too. We have all been in that precarious position. Very stressful. But when you hear that today, and you don't have the luxury of a lot of advance notice or a compensation package to help you transition...some of you can turn to government assistance through unemployment insurance, etc, some of you don't have anything or anyone to turn to...vulnerable times indeed but this is also the time you must not give up and do whatever you can to survive, or like many queers (and non-queers) are doing (or seriously thinking of doing), stop spending on things other than food, move to cheaper places (rent out the other room/space), or move out of this very expensive city, the city will be here for you when you are ready to come back and struggle again.
