Circumcision reduces HIV risk -- snip! snip!

Studies: Circumcision reduces HIV risk
In an "extraordinary development" in the fight against HIV.

As reported in www.edgenewyork.com this week, it seems that circumcision reduces HIV. Is this true? Have you read the research paper explaining the research methods and how it derived it’s conclusions and the error of margin statistic? I have not. But it rationally seems to me that hygiene is key. If a person doesn’t keep clean under the foreskin, it can lead to inflamation and more. It takes a blood path to transmit HIV therefore, only a penis that is inflamed to the point of providing a bloodpath, is a culprit. Teach guys to keep clean, don’t promote un-necessary snip! snip! My two-cent.

  1. even if circumcision protects as much as they say it does, condoms are still better and don't involve cutting part of your penis off.

  2. removing a woman's breast to prevent future breast cancer is as local as forcing circumcision. How long before WHO (World Health Org) starts demanding that all countries push circumcision?
