Is Metrosexual a code for Homosexual?

It seems many people are mistakenly believe (not think) metrosexual is a code for homosexual. - metrosexual men (many of them) are beautiful looking men (can they not be?) like our immensely popular and smart presidential candidate, John Edwards and other politicians like Mitt Romney, News Gavin...and why is Howard Dean not considered a metrosexual? Are Ty Pennington, David Bromstad, Ron Corning (Good Day New York), John Muller (CW11 Morning News), and Tom Ford metrosexual men?

It is really not fair for those who came up the the name "metrosexual" without giving us the real stuff. We are not stupid. We know who is a paraplegic, etc. We know who is gay...But who is a metrosexual? I hear you say: "Those men who dress nice, have great taste, etc..." Hey, straight men and gay men dress nice and have great careers, have expensive taste, too! What do metrosexual men have that the gay and straight men don't? Taste? What kind?

And why do we always assume that a guy is a metrosexual (instead of straight or gay) when he looks as delicious as Ron Corning or John Muller, or when we see him walking in and out of a tanning/nail salon with his designer dog, carrying expensive totes, and looking perfectly groomed from head to toe and stylish, captivating us and capturing our imagination...why aren't healthy plus size guys not seen as metrosexuals? Is it because they aren't gay-looking enough? Or because they are too straight looking?

I always wonder what metrosexual men are really into sexually and socially? Cos, babe, it is soooo expensive to look good in New York City, I can tell you that! Why do the so-called metrosexual men have to dress and look so perfectly? Or, better still, why do we call them metrosexual men when they dressed and look so perfectly? Do we still call them metrosexual men when they dress down? What about those hot-looking guys who jog, looking fit, looking good from head to toe? Are they metrosexuals, too? How about the plus-size guys? PLEASE BE HONEST. Can we call plus-size guys (those with cheap-looking haircut and sunshades) metrosexuals?

I mean you see a lot of them running/bladding/cycling stylishly in Central Park (or walking their dogs with Au Bain/Peet's Coffee in their hands, looking like Lance Armstrong, his sexy bud, Mathew, his name, Reese's ex-husband, and Jake Gyllenhaal, looking so chic and sweaty and all)...

Why do men have to have perfectly manicured nails to begin with? Or why do they have to have nice worked out chests, defined muscles, toned legs? (Ok, if it was for health, then why do they have to have to spend $300 on a haircut or use very expensive hair products?

Do they do it to seduce (or attract) themselves? Do they do it strictly for Women? Men? Who do you think they like more sexually or want more emotionally?

Why isn't a "metrosexual" man excited or thrilled to be seen or known as or called a metrosexual? Oh...this is killing me!
