Let's eat!

Let's eat!
This month we cook a lot of dishes from Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are a melting pot bubbling over with tourists, inhabitants and expatriates from all parts of the world, and these people naturally have diverse eating habits. Through the ages, the Chinese, Malay, Indians and the foreigners (westerners) have cast their influence on Singapore's food recipes and there is no doubt that Singapore is a food lovers' paradise. We are bringing the fantastic Singapore/Malay dishes to you and our friends who will be couchsurfing with us...Cheers! Tiger & Marlon

Glorious food...flavorful, delightful, soulful

Tiger: I love the smell of my daddy Scottie's long string beans with coconut and curry sauce. Heard it is so yummy. Uncle Ambrose loves it. Daddy uses Hot Italian Sausage. Uncle Ambrose used pork belly instead. He sliced them thinly into a good bite size. I don't understand why I am not allowed to eat this dish.
Marlon: I've tried Uncle Ambrose's steamed basmati rice cooked with ghee and coconut milk and other fresh Indian spices. So yummy. I've tried this dish, too. So yummy and spicy. Scroll down further to get recipes.

Soul food for love..

Tiger: This is Uncle Ambrose's Basmati Rice cooked with rich coconut milk with a hint of saffron...so yummy I heard.
Marlon: And this Uncle Scottie's long string beans with pork, curry and coconut milk. Uncle Ambrose loves this dish so much. Uncle Scottie's original recipe with hot Italian sausage. I heard it is very yummy.

Chicken Satay...and Uncle Ambrose

Tiger: Marlon, I think Uncle Ambrose is an exhibitionist.
Marlon: I think so too. He can be lazy at times. Just cereal and milk.
Tiger: Did he give you the Chicken Satay? He won't let me eat them.
Marlon: I tried them. So yummy. Uncle Ambrose gave me the ones without the skewers. It is a classic Asian dish. How can you not like Chicken Satay?
Tiger: Well, I hope I get to try them soon.
